I am an acoustics and vibration consultant with an aerospace engineering background and over four decades of professional experience.

My training shaped a systems-oriented way of thinking — attentive to interactions, assumptions, and unintended consequences. That perspective naturally carries into building acoustics, where design decisions rarely act alone.

I work primarily with architects on projects where acoustic performance matters and cannot be treated as an afterthought. Rather than focusing on volume or speed, I maintain a small, deliberate practice that allows for careful engagement.

In addition to consulting practice, I have been involved in professional writing, peer review, and technical education within the acoustics community.

I am based in rural Iowa. The setting supports a focused way of working and allows me to engage with projects across the country.
