The projects described below are representative of the types of situations I am often asked to help address. They are not intended as a comprehensive portfolio, but as brief notes on projects
where acoustic judgment and sustained engagement mattered.
Project names are omitted where appropriate.

A mid-century worship space was renovated to accommodate new programmatic and technical requirements. Early studies confirmed that the existing acoustics were unusually well balanced, particularly for non-amplified speech.
The work focused on identifying which elements were acoustically essential and which could be modified safely. Close coordination with the design team helped preserve the original acoustic character while allowing the building to meet contemporary needs.

A performance venue was designed to support amplified music with wide dynamic range while maintaining clarity and listener comfort.
Acoustic design involved balancing room geometry, surface treatment, and low-frequency control. Physical modeling was used alongside analytical tools to explore reflection patterns and spatial effects that were difficult to assess numerically.

This project required meeting stringent acoustic and vibration criteria across a wide range of spaces, including courtrooms, chambers, and secure circulation areas.
Early involvement helped establish realistic performance targets and identify structural and mechanical features affecting vibration transmission. Continued review and field testing helped verify performance during construction.

An industrial control room required reliable communication and concentration in proximity to high-noise equipment.
Investigation showed that vibration transmission paths, rather than airborne noise, governed performance. Addressing these paths required careful coordination across architectural, structural, and equipment design.
